Soldiers & Sailors is one of the nation’s only memorials and museums dedicated to honoring the men and women of all branches of service, in all capacities (Active, Reserve, Guard) and is operated and maintained by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
The historic landmark was designed by renowned architect Henry Hornbostel and opened in 1910. Within the memorial is a museum that offers a unique look into American history and tells the stories of the individuals from Pennsylvania who served our country. The responsibility for maintaining the museum falls on the Education & Museum Department. This department uses the collection to share the stories of our heroes through exhibits covering all of America’s conflicts from the Civil War through present day, as well as, providing educational programs and events for the community.
Make a general donation for the Education & Museum Department, and decide how your money is spent.
A general donation earmarked for the Education & Museum Department may be used to make purchases from snacks for Summer Camp to vital supplies needed to keep precious artifacts from deteriorating. You can choose where your dollars go! Please help us continue to educate the community about military history while also preserving the stories of local service men and service women.
