Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum has been collecting, preserving and sharing
history with the public for 110 years. Did you know that less than 10 percent of the Museum’s
artifacts are on exhibit at any one time?
Our collection needs proper storage and care in order to protect and share it with future generations.
Now you can help Soldiers &Sailors preserve vulnerable parts of its holdings
by adopting an artifact.
Because of an item’s condition at the time of donation, or simply due to the ravages of time, some artifacts are too fragile to exhibit. Your tax-deductible donation to the Adopt an Artifact
program will support the restoration and storage of a piece of your choosing and preserve its historical integrity.
Adopting an artifact is a meaningful way to get involved with the museum’s collection and help provide the support needed to continue to care for our ever growing collection. Surprise a friend or loved one
by adopting an artifact in his or her honor, or show your pride in S&S history by
adopting one for yourself. Only through the support of the community can we continue to care
for and exhibit artifacts that connect us with the past.
